Fudgey Pecan Pie

  • Makes: 6-8 portions  
  • Preparation Time: 15 minute plus baking time 

Ingredients

2 squares28 g each semi-sweet chocolate

1/4 cup50 ml butter

1 can300 ml Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand® sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup125 ml hot water

2 eggs, beaten

1 tsp5 ml vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

1 1/4 cups300 ml pecan halves or pieces

1 (9 unbaked pastry shell

Directions

  1 :  Melt chocolate with butter. Stir in Eagle Brand, hot water and eggs; mix well. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla, salt and pecans.

  2 :  Pour into prepared pastry shell.

  3 :  Bake in preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 40 minutes or until centre is set. Cool slightly. Serve warm or chilled. Garnish as desired.
