: Crust :

: Preheat oven to 350º F (180ºC). Line 9” x 13” (3 L) baking dish with parchment paper.

: Combine flour, sugar and salt in large bowl. Cut in shortening until it resembles coarse crumbs. You can do this in the food processor. Stir in toffee bits. Reserve 1 cup (250 mL) flour mixture for topping.
: Filling :

: Press flour mixture into prepared baking dish. Pour condensed milk over crust. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and toffee bits. Sprinkle with remaining flour mixture.

: Bake in preheated oven 30-35 minutes. Drizzle with melted chocolate, if desired. Cool and cut into squares.
