: Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

: Beat shortening and condensed milk until creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Add next 5 ingredients, mixing until blended.

: Roll dough into 1½” balls. On smooth surface roll dough into 8” long ropes. Roll in coarse sugar, bend into a loop and twist dough. Place on prepared baking sheets.

: Bake in preheated oven 12-15 minutes. Let cool on baking sheets for 3-5 minutes. Remove, cool on wire rack.
